Star team in Brighton, MI
Our Competition Team Tracks
Academy of Dance in Brighton offers three competition team tracks for dancers ages 4–18: Star Team (introductory, part-time commitment), Pre-Elite/Elite Team (intermediate to advanced, growing commitment), and Pre-Company/Company Team (advanced, full-time commitment). Classes for the 2025–2026 season start the week of September 8th, 2025. Virtual and private auditions are available throughout August and September for those who missed in-person auditions.
Star Team
Auditions are required every year
Minimum of one year dance experience
Ages 4–12 years
Minimum of one dance class required per week, and must have a technique class in the performance subject
Attend two–three regional (local) competitions each year, with optional attendance at Nationals on alternating years
Must attend a minimum of one summer dance camp or class, held at Academy of Dance in Brighton
Note: No one may enroll in a Star level class without prior instructor approval. Please contact the studio regarding appropriate placement for any of the classes listed below.
